Monthly winner

Every month has its own winner: the eligible manager with the highest net score across that month's gameweeks. The winner gets both prizes, and you can claim a monthly prize once in the season. The scoring rules are further down.

How the monthly winner is decided

Each month starts from zero

We add up your net score across the gameweeks assigned to the month. Net means after transfer deductions. Captaincy, automatic substitutions and chips work exactly as they do in the game, and points from other months don't carry over.

Which gameweeks count

A gameweek counts towards the month its deadline falls in, in Hong Kong time, and it counts in full. If a gameweek's deadline is 31 October, it's an October gameweek even when some of its fixtures are played in November. We publish each month's gameweeks before that month's first deadline, and every deadline is on the fixtures page.

Joining partway through a month

You're entered automatically. If you join during a month, only the gameweeks from your entry onwards count towards it. You get no points for the weeks before you joined, but you can still win.

When we announce the winner

We wait until every gameweek in the month has been scored and marked final, and we've checked that the winner is eligible. A postponed fixture counts with the gameweek it ends up in. If it moves to another gameweek it counts there, and if it stays where it was we wait for that gameweek to finish. Either way, a postponement can push the announcement back. A month with no scoring gameweeks has no winner.

One monthly prize each

You can claim a monthly prize once during the 2026/27 season. Previous winners can still compete in the standings, and the limit doesn't affect the overall season prizes. If a previous winner finishes first again, both prizes go to the next eligible manager who hasn't received a monthly prize yet. Ties and claiming work as set out in the prize rules below.

Prize rules

These rules apply to the prizes above, which Kinoko Studio, the studio that runs HKPL Fantasy, gives away. A private or club league can run a prize of its own. If it does, its terms are on that league's page.

Entry is free and automatic

Everyone with a team in the current season is in. There's no purchase, no entry fee and no separate sign-up. A Supporter Pass doesn't change your eligibility, your points or your rank.

Who can win

You need to be at least 13 and have one account, as the Terms of Service require. Prizes are delivered within Hong Kong only. Accounts with administrator access to the Service aren't eligible. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian has to claim the prize for you. The standings show every team, so if someone in a winning place isn't eligible, the prize goes to the next eligible manager.

How winners are decided

Each prize above says who wins it, and every prize is decided on merit, never by a draw. Season prizes go by the overall standings once the final gameweek of the season has been scored and marked final. Scores can be corrected under the Terms, and if a correction changes the order before prizes are sent, we use the corrected order. Our decision on scores and standings is final.

If managers finish level

Tied managers share a rank in the standings. For prizes only, we split the tie in this order: the manager with fewer points lost to transfer deductions comes first, then the one with the higher best single gameweek score (counted after deductions), then the one whose team was created earlier. For a season prize we look at the whole season. For a monthly prize we look only at that month's gameweeks.

Claiming

We email winners at the address on their account within 14 days of the result being final. You then have 30 days to reply with a Hong Kong delivery address. If we can't reach you, or we hear nothing back in that time, the prize goes to the next-placed manager.

About the prizes

Our partners supply the prizes. They can't be exchanged for cash or transferred to anyone else. If an item isn't available we may replace it with one of equivalent value. To send a prize we ask the winner for a name and a Hong Kong delivery address and pass them to the partner that supplies or sends that prize, for that purpose only. We keep them no longer than delivery needs, as the Privacy Policy explains.
