Who makes HKPL Fantasy, where the numbers come from, and what this is not.

What is HKPL Fantasy?

HKPL Fantasy(港超 Fantasy)is a free fantasy football game for the Hong Kong Premier League (香港超級聯賽). You build a squad of 15 real HKPL players within a 100.0 budget, name a captain, pick your starting XI before each gameweek deadline, and score points from what those players actually do in real matches. It runs in a browser, on phone or desktop, with nothing to download.

Who builds it?

It is built and operated by Kinoko Studio, an independent studio based in Hong Kong. It started as a fans’ project: the big European leagues have had polished fantasy games for years, and there was no reason our own top flight should go without one. Everything here — the rules engine, the scoring, the bilingual interface — was written for this league specifically, not adapted from someone else’s game.

Is this an official HKFA or HKPL product?

No. HKPL Fantasy is fan-made. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or licensed by the Hong Kong Football Association, the Hong Kong Premier League, or any club. Club and player names appear only to identify real footballers and real fixtures. If you are a rights holder and something here concerns you, write to us at connect@kinokostudio.com.hk and we will respond.

Where does the match data come from?

Fixtures, results and player statistics are entered by hand from published HKPL match information, then reviewed before a gameweek is finalised. There is no automated feed behind this league, so accuracy depends on that manual pass — which is also why raw imported data is kept separately from the numbers used for scoring, and why any correction is recorded rather than silently applied.

Every point a player earns is itemised: a goal, an assist, a clean sheet, a card, each logged as its own line with the reason attached. If a score looks wrong, it can be traced to the specific event that produced it. Corrections happen — when they do, the affected gameweek is recalculated from the same audit trail.

Does it cost anything?

No. The game is free, there is no paid entry and no premium tier. There are no cash prizes and no betting — nothing here is a real-money game, and no gambling odds are shown. Sponsor placements, where they appear, are labelled as such.

How do the rules work?

Squad limits, valid formations, captaincy, transfers, chips, deadlines and the full scoring table are all written out on the How to Play page. The rules there are the rules the engine enforces; where the two could ever disagree, the page is the one that gets corrected.

How do I get in touch?
